This is the ink reviewย after a long hiatus. I was occupied in lot of other activities and ink reviews couldn’t get my attention.

Dr. Sreekumar has beenย given lot of feedback for the inks from the local community and he has listened to many and therefore he has reformulated many inks like chocolate brown. His inks are now easily available in 30 ml bottles on eBay Indiaย under the brand name of KRISHNA.

These inks are sold on eBay India Page for Rs. 550ย (8 USD) each for 5 Nos. 30 ml ink bottle plus shipping. Now they come in new glass bottles.

COMPARISON WITH SIMILAR COLOURS

CONCLUSION:

The colour reminds me of Diamine Meadow Green or Iroshizuku Chiku Rin. ย It has no feathering ย and has consistent flow. It is a beautiful bright colour ink which I am sure will gather attention of lot of buyers. ย This 30 ml bottle just costs less than Rs. 100.

Following are the summation of ink properties:

  • Feathering :ย No
  • Sheen : No
  • Shading : ย Little
  • Lubrication :ย Moderate
  • Flow :ย Good
  • Water Resistance : Bad
  • Drying Times : Bad
  • Nib Creep : No
  • Clogging : None
  • Odor : None

Feedback and Comments are welcome.

The ink can be bought from the ebay store of Krishna Pens. Link is given below.

This is not a biased comment but a real ground situation report.
See, I will just warn and caution you all about the Krishna brand run by Dr Sreekumar, so that you are not in any kind of illusion about the Dr or his brand. Dr Sreekumar is clearly on his own trip, not a serious pen maker and appears to be lazily experimenting slowly, on his own. His agenda seems to be getting foreign recognition for his inks only, without actually being of any level.
My order for a Bai Chi Sai Pen is pending for two to three years now. He is least interested to even start it.
I have ordered some inks from him via Pen World, Chennai. Eight small samples of pen reviewer inks of 4 ml each were initially alright, though he had to be reminded to send the eighth one that was forgotten. Later, full bottles of two Masterโ€™s Red Ink and one Freedom Gold Ink had to be thrown away within a few days of receipt. The Classic Red ink was not even red or ink, there was some dirty brownish liquid inside the bottles. The Freedom Gold was attempted well but the the amount of metal gold particles were incredibly high, so it was too dangerous for the pens and the ink was taking three hours to dry on paper and then leave a real sticky mess.
Beware of the brand, it is trying to feign being in a niche international category. This is that typical Kerala thing.
Nobody writes a review like this unless he has been led till here.

Really Sad to hear ur experience on the inks…
Well for pens I am myself in waiting for 2 yrs… I have been committed for 2019

And as far as inks are concerned I avoid inks with particles…. here I only rely on J. Herbin… Even Diamine can have issues…
