Tuesday Thoughts – 31 May 2016

Pen in rotation today is ASA Swan which I have fitted with #5 Ambitious Flex Nib. The feed from Schmidt Nib Unit Keep up with the flex nib amazingly well. The ink used is Pelikan Edlestein Amethyst.

Today’s Thought inspiration is from Kabir, who was an Indian poet and saint.

  2. That’s a great apology. Love it. Thanks. I will copy it and stick it on my bathroom mirror. How long does it take for your mirror to know you? I have been looking in mine for 26 years… only for the occasional shave!

The nib on this pen is a bit of an curiosity. The slit is unnecessarily long. Once the nib is curved like this, it becomes very stiff and will not open any more. I am writing about this on my blog, but the chapter isn’t published, yet. It will be called HOW TO. The chapter before, NIB MECHANICS foreshadows on that topic with some basics.

    1. Ha ha ha…
Even I have copied it to my desk..
Mirror will never know I guess.. Only if Google plays with some tech and embeds some latest gadgets in mirror which might recognise faces..
The Nib is made by Ambitious who is an OEM.. And it is one of the flex nibs.. It varies from fine to double broad..
